Epilobium septentrionale Select Mattole Evergreen perennial forming a mat 4 inches tall, 3 foot spread, covered with red-orange flowers summer, fall. Attracts hummingbirds. Full sun, prefers poor, rocky soils. Quite deer and drought resistant. A very hardy plant, good for dry hillsides. More cold hardy than E. canum. Native Plants A-B |
