Eschscholzia c. maritima Dune Poppy This is a coastal form of the California Poppy. It is a perennial with a mounding habit growing 6 inches high, spreading 1 to 2 feet. Lemon yellow blossoms 2 to 3 inches across in summer. It likes sun, is quite drought and deer resistant, and self sows. It will grow in sand dunes. Bay Area Native Plants A-B |
