Fremontodendron californicum Flannel Bush Fast growing evergreen shrub to 15 feet tall, 20 foot spread with large lemon yellow flowers spring into summer. Full sun, needs good drainage and no water once established. A good informal hedge, on dry, rocky hillsides, near native oaks. Don’t plant near a path as the fuzz on the stems can cause itching.
