Fremontodendron mexicanum Southern Flannel Bush Fast growing evergreen shrub to 15 feet tall, 20 foot spread with a long bloom of cup shaped orange yellow flowers appearing along the branches. Full sun, needs good drainage and no water once established. A good informal hedge, on dry, rocky hillsides, near native oaks. Fuzzy stems can cause itching.
