A dense gray green shrub growing 3 to 4 feet round. Long stems with violet colored pea shaped flowers May and June, it prefers full sun, good drainage, and not too much water. It can tolerate salt winds but may have trouble with inland heat. Attracts butterflies and is quite deer resistant.
