Growing in vigorous clumps to a height of 4 feet, 3 feet wide the foliage has a pleasant minty smell. Scarlet red flowers appear in tight clusters in summer attracting bees and hummingbirds. Grow in full sun or light shade with average water. Native to Eastern United States. Quite cold hardy, may be invasive.
