Hearst's wild lilac
This very low growing ceanothus from the Hearst Castle area reaches 6 inches in height with a 3 to 5 foot spread forming a star shape. Trimming the tips helps it to fill in. Gray blue flowers in spring. Quite drought tolerant. Full sun or light shade. A rare and endangered plant.
