Growing in bushy clumps to a height of 2 to 3 feet and as wide the foliage has a pleasant minty smell. Deep violet purple flowers appear in tight clusters late summer attracting bees, hummingbirds. Grow in full sun or light shade with average water. Native to Eastern United States. Quite cold hardy.
