This native penstemon from the Sierra foothills grows close to the ground with a 4 foot spread. Showy one inch bright blue purple flowers appear late spring into fall. Grow in full sun or part shade with good drainage. and average to low water, quite deer resistant. Good in containers, as a low border. Hardy to at least 10°F
