Woodwardia fimbriatagiant chain fernThis large scale fern grows 6 to 9 feet tall and can handle full sun in the fog belt, otherwise partial to heavy shade. Good near ponds or creeks, against shaded walls, in woodland gardens. Drought tolerant once established. Cut back old fronds late winter just as new ones are emerging. Hardy to 0°F. Bay Area native. |
